Steve and Sue Liston
Following a 35-year career in government and the private sector, Steve and Sue joined The Evangelical Alliance Mission (TEAM) and moved to Madrid in fall of 2024 to lead the ICC Madrid church plant. They pray that ICC Madrid will bless the international, English-speaking community in northwest Madrid in the same way they were blessed by international church communities in seven countries. Sue and Steve have been members of their sending church, Fourth Presbyterian Church in Bethesda, Maryland, since 1994, where Steve serves as a Ruling Elder and both have taught children, youth, and adults.
Steve and Sue met at the University of California, Berkeley, where they both graduated with degrees in Political Economy. Steve holds Master of Arts degrees in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University, and in Religion from Reformed Theological Seminary. Steve serves on the board of directors of International Christian Community Eurasia (ICC-E), the U.S. non-profit that supports the mission of International Christian Community. Sue and Steve both speak Spanish in addition to their native English. Steve also speaks French and Portuguese. They have been married for over 30 years and have three adult children.​​​

Vlad and Inés Panainte
Vlad and Inés met in 2016 in Lyon, France. They served in the international church of Lyon for eight years while they had full-time jobs, Vlad in an accounting firm and Inés in the local government of Lyon. Vlad regularly preached as an Elder, and they were both part of the leadership of the International Christian Community of Lyon.

In 2023, they decided to work full-time at the church joining the ICC organization, and they first moved to the South of France, where they served in three international churches: Nice, Saint Paul de Vence, and Monaco. In 2024, they moved to Madrid to serve with ICC Madrid. Inés has also worked since 2020 for BibleProject, an animation studio that creates explainer videos of the Bible. She is responsible for promoting the French localized content.

Vlad and Inés grew up in different countries, Vlad in Romania and Inés in Mexico. Vlad has a Master's in Financial Audit and graduated from a theological program in his home church, Metanoia church, in Timisoara, Romania. Inés has a Master's degree in Innovation, Design & Entrepreneurship from the EM Lyon. They have been married since 2018, and they have two children.
